General info
If you are looking for an exceptionally powerful strain, a strain that will test even the most experienced of cannabis smokers, then Star Killer may just be what you are looking for. Winner of the Best Hybrid Flower at the 2016 Colorado Cannabis Cup, Star Killer is a highly potent indica-dominant hybrid that is the result of merging the highly acclaimed Skywalker OG and Rare Dankness #2 strains. So with a lot to live up to, Star Killer certainly seems to have passed its test with flying colors if cannabis forums are anything to go by, with even the most experienced smokers saying that they succumbed easily to its effects. So if you are feeling adventurous and want to experience a strong high, then give this strain a go to find out firsthand why it is called Star Killer.
Grow info
There isn’t much grow information for Star Killer other than it is quite similar to growing Skywalker OG. So if Skywalker OG is anything to go by, expect a moderately difficult grow process that can be administered both indoors and outdoors, but ideally in a cool indoor hydroponic setup to avoid high temperatures. If everything goes smoothly you can expect a flowering time of 8-10 weeks, resulting in a medium-sized plant that yields around 350-450g/m2. This strain is developed by Rare Dankness.
FLAVORS
Star Killer buds are large, lumpy and spade like in shape, are light green in color and are coated in fiery orange hairs and crystal white trichomes. Flavorwise you will be able to taste hints of lemon, pine, and earth, and if I had to liken it to a well-known flavor I would say a lemon soda fresh out of the fridge. In terms of its aroma, Star KIller is pungent, skunky and gives off a pine and lemon scent, so traits that are also found in other cannabis strains. Overall, this strain has pleasant attributes but nothing overly unique.

Star Killer possesses impressive THC levels in the range of 26-29%, with its CBD levels being low at around 0-1%.
EFFECTS
With Star Killer, the effects should hit you HARD from the very get-go. Almost immediately you will come under a hazy mental high that will surprise and confound you, after which you will start to feel the effects slowly spreading throughout your body until you are left totally sedated and couch-locked. Now although sounding a little unwelcoming, for more experienced smokers this can be the relaxing high they have been looking for owing to its powerful sedating effects which veteran smokers might not find all too easily. So expect to end up in a deep sleep by the time Star KIller is done with you, so smoke this strain at your own peril if you intend to be active later on in the day. You might also get a strong urge to kill a celebrity. Just kidding…
The overpowering effects of Star Killer make it ideal for treating conditions such as chronic pain, insomnia, depression, and stress. However as is discussed below, this strain can also have adverse effects and is more suitable for experienced smokers rather than novices. But for people that know how to handle their cannabis, this is an exceptionally good medicinal strain.
At best the side-effects of this strain will be nothing more than a dry mouth and red eyes. However, the very high potency of this strain will be tough to handle for many people and especially novice smokers. So if you are indeed a new smoker, expect Star Killer to potentially induce paranoia and anxiousness. Thus, it is advisable that beginners try other strain to begin with.
