Coming by way of Rare Dankness Seeds, Moonshine Haze is a Sativa-dominant strain which put the cannabis scene on notice in 2011 after winning the Amsterdam High Times Cannabis Cup in the best Sativa seed company category. Not an easy feat by any means, you’ll understand its success once you sample the product, which although not breathtakingly unique, does what exactly what it says on the tin and can be counted upon to give you a great time. I know I’d choose this Moonshine over its whiskey counterpart any day of the week!

Best grown with a regimented indoor hydroponic setup, I would describe the growing process as moderately difficult; especially for novices. It is important to note however that after having had a little horticulture experience under your belt, the growth process becomes much easier to conduct. This plant flowers around the 10-11 week mark, so a little longer than average, but the wait is worth it as it yields sizeable amounts of around 400-500g/m2.

FLAVORS
Moonshine Haze buds have a more pointed shape compared to your regular buds and are of a mossy green color infused with bright orange pistils. Flavorwise the bud is sweet and flowery on the inhale and has a hint of citrus on the exhale. Its aroma is quite reminiscent of its parent strain Amnesia Haze insofar as it has a pleasant floral smell with a hint of spice to it, so this makes for a nice first whiff when taking it out of its packaging.

EFFECTS
Being rich in THC, the initial effects are quick to hit and can be described as buzzy, energizing and free-flowing. You will notice that your mood improves and your awareness becomes heightened, so expect your mind to be racing really fast initially. However after an hour or so you will notice that the cognitive effects begin to taper down nicely, making you very care-free but still perfectly functional. Great for daytime mental and bodily stimulation!
Owing to its uplifting boost, this is an ideal strain to help combat ailments such as mild depression, stress, and fatigue. Moreover, this strain can often get you feeling the munchies and can thus help stimulate hunger for those with eating disorders.The strains powerful spacey effects can also provide some pain relief for chronic pains.
Its initial buzz early on can make novice smokers a little anxious and overwhelmed, to begin with, but after a while, these effects start to ease up and allow for a more calming high. The main side-effects tend to include having a dry mouth and dry eyes, so nothing too unbearable.
