General info

Don’t let the name of Green Poison put you off from sampling this champion Indica cross! Championed by breeder Sweet Seeds, this strain has won many awards, including first prize in the Better Indica category at the Cannabis Canarias Cup and first prize in the Indoor Professional category at Grow Sweet Seeds Malasaña 2016. As an award-winning strain, Green Poison has been used to create other hybrid strains including Green Poison Auto, and Green Poison F1 Fast Version.

Grow info

This is a super-producer that provides an incredibly high yield! Indoor grows can average an impressive 500-650 g/m2 with an outdoor yield of 500-700 g/plant. The indoor flowering time is between 52-58 days, while the harvesting time in dry, cold climates is in the middle of October, or the middle of September in sub-tropic to semi-humid climates. This plant produces buds just a few days after the beginning of flowering and as a result of its fast-flowering time is perfect for humid areas that are prone to mold and fungus.

FLAVORS

The aroma of Green Poison is very intense, with sweet and fruity tones and earthy undertones. If you’re a fan of a heavy intense aroma then this strain will certainly produce the goods! If for whatever reason you are trying to avoid any obvious smells then this might not be the one for you! Long and flexible side branches characterize Green Poison and a large main cola with averagely sized buds that are encrusted with resin. Great for concentrates!

STRAIN TEST

According to a test conducted by Analytical 360, the Indica/Sativa content of this strain is 70%/30% with a THC total of 18.12 %. The test also found the strain to contain 0.16% CBG total, with terpene content coming in at 1.73% (with 0.13% Myrcene and 0.56% Caryophyllene).

EFFECTS

The energetic and creative buzz which Green Poison produces makes this strain perfect for high paced individuals, who benefit from the stimulating effects of Indica-dominant hybrids. After just a few hits you’ll start to feel heady, while anything more will usually make you feel sleepy, so you’ll have to find the right balance that works for you, as too much might negate any of the creative and euphoric effects of Green Poison!

This is a good strain for its generalized medicinal benefits and has been well received for its ability to reduce muscle spasms. Depending on how much you use it will certainly help with sleep-disorders such as insomnia.

The strong skunky smell is one side effect that may or may not bother you. In terms of general side effects, the usual dry mouth and dry eye should be noted, which can, however, be reduced by using a bong. Overall, this is worth testing out if you are comfortable with similar strains such as Durban Poison.
