Information

Perhaps just as versatile as cannabis butter is cannabis coconut oil. Just like butter, it can go into sweet and savory dishes. It’s also a powerful way to move the cannabinoids into your bloodstream because coconut oil is an extremely fatty substance.

Without fat, cannabinoids have difficulty penetrating through our water-filled bodies. Combining cannabis with butter, oils or coconut oil increases the absorption rate, and also the medicinal properties. The higher the fat content of a marijuana-infused food, the more little cannabinoids will enter your body.

For any vegans out there, coconut oil also often interchangeable with butter. This goes for both savory and sweet recipes. Although many more conventional recipes for weed edibles use cannabis butter or oil, why not make it all the healthier with a little coconut oil. Then, even your vegan friends can enjoy!

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF COCONUT OIL?

Coconut oil is essentially all healthy saturated fats, up to 91 percent of the oils found in coconut is healthy. Unlike other types of fat, coconut oil is much easier to digest, and when dealing with cannabis edibles. That’s a critical part of the process. As a medium chain fatty acid, it only goes through a three-step process once consumed to go from fat to energy source.

Other fatty foods require a 26 stage biological transformation. Our bodies are also very unlikely to store coconut oil as fat for later. This is part of the reason why coconut oil is considered so healthy and a part of many healthy diet plans.

TOPICAL APPLICATIONS FOR CANNABIS COCONUT OIL

Not only are there benefits to using coconut oil for edible weed goodies, but it also makes an excellent topical. Why use cannabis topically in coconut oil? Because cannabinoids in marijuana easily transfer through your skin, providing medicinal benefit.
