General info
Cannalope Haze is fast becoming one of most sought-after sativas in the Netherlands and the rest of the world. Created by the green magicians at Amsterdam’s DNA Genetics, this 95% pure sativa is the result of a crossing between Haze Brothers Original Haze and a Mexican landrace sativa. One of the main reasons why this strain is taking the world by storm is the fact that her ample production of trichomes makes her ideal to fabricate high-quality concentrates.
Grow info
Cannalope Haze can be challenging to cultivate. It will take an experienced grower and all hands on deck to bring her to her full potential. She likes warm climates, so most European growers would want to cultivate her indoors. When doing so, you want to use a SOG method for the best result and yield. If done correctly, you can expect her to provide you with a very decent yield of beautiful light green and frosty white buds with long orange-brown calyx.
FLAVORS
The second most tantalizing quality of Cannalope Haze has to be her fragrance. Contrary to what her name suggests, I could not identify any trace of cantaloupe in her scent. What I did get was a delightful and robust sense of fresh and sharp citrus fruits together with another, even sweeter smelling, unidentifiable fruit. By others, this could, of course, be interpreted as cantaloupe, but for me, it was too faint and subtle to pin a name on. The aroma that comes from the bag translates splendidly into her flavor, where the sweet and fruity tang picks up a more herbal citrus tone on the inhale and is fortified by a lovely musky flavor of damp pinewood and a hint of lavender on the exhale. The nugs of Cannalope Haze have great bag appeal and feel nicely firm, dense and sticky. When I break apart the nug, I can see, even with the naked eye, the trichomes reflect the sunlight as if they were glistening crystals.

STRAIN TEST
From the somewhat limited test data, we can surmise that this 95% pure sativa has an average THC-level that lies somewhere between 15 and 20%, while her CBD-count lies around the 0.1 to 0.26% mark. One of the surprising results of these tests is that Cannalope Haze has an overabundance of the terpene Linalool.
EFFECTS
Coming in first place in the race for Cannalope Haze’s winning attributes, is her high. This strain is by no means a beginners strain and should be handled with care. Cannalope Haze hits like a narcotic bomb! After just one or two tokes you can feel your heart beating at lightspeed and your brain buzzing a mile a minute. Your whole body will crackle with energy while your thoughts start to race in a million directions. This strain, for all intents and purposes, is not your typical wake ‘n’ bake strain! You will surely and without a doubt be wide awake because of her effect, but don’t expect to spend those waking hours on mental tasks that require precision. The dreamy mind-fog and thought-provoking maelstrom the effect brings about will not allow you to conjure up any focus to get serious work done. Cannalope Haze comes close to a mild psychedelic experience!
Cannalope Haze can be used as an effective pain-management tool, but her real strength lies in her ability to combat chronic fatigue and mental disorders like PTSD, ADHD, stress or depression. Due to her exceedingly high amount of the Linalool terpene, she also shows promise as a useful treatment for opioid dependency.
One of the significant side-effects of Cannalope Haze will doubtlessly be the potential to induce fits of anxiety, heart palpitations and in some cases paranoia, especially among inexperienced users. It can’t be said enough; Cannalope Haze is a very potent strain! Apart from the strong high, some user might also experience some dizziness and dry eyes or cotton mouth.
