General info
G-13 is an Indica strain originally bred during the 70s or 80s amid much mystery and speculation. It has even been rumored to have originated from a shady government research facility although very little evidence has surfaced to back this. Nowadays the strain commonly contains some Sativa attributes and can border on a hybrid, however, that doesn’t take away from its powerful body-based high. This is a quite the heavy hitter with a particular knack for alleviating pain.
Grow info
Growers will need to allocate a decent amount of vertical space for this plant as it can grow quite tall. The flowering period usually takes around 11 weeks (77 days) for indoor grows and up to 10 weeks for outdoor growers. The yields differ as you would expect with outdoor grows producing up to 40 ounces per plant (1120g) compared to indoor yields of up to 21 ounces (588g). Generally, this strain performs well for most growers due to its fairly easy cultivation and attractive returns. Just don’t try growing it in a short cupboard or tent if you can help it.
FLAVORS
Looks can certainly impress right off the bat with this strain. It’s usually covered with a thin layer of frosty trichomes intertwined with long and wild orange hairs. These buds clearly don’t skip the gym because they are often huge! To top it off they also emit a sweet stench with subtle hints of dry earthiness also gracing the nostrils. This aroma carries over into the taste and boasts that old school ‘pine’ flavor as part of the mix. Let’s just say it smells good.

STRAIN TEST
Unsurprisingly, this strain’s tests have varied due to its muddled family tree however, you are likely looking at a higher bracket of 20-30% for good quality flowers at your local dispensary. It’s recommended that you ask your budtender for the specifics on their G-13 buds just to double check though! Either way, it’s unlikely you will be disappointed based on public reception so far.
