Snoop Dogg has been a legend in cannabis since his days in gangster rap. Now, Snoop has a cannabis themed show with Martha Stewart on VH1. Due to his notoriety we now have a strain called Snoop’s Dream that delivers exactly what the moniker implies: a heavy hitting body stone with a silly giggly high that just doesn’t quit. Snoop’s Dream is readily available in the Pacific Northwest. This particular review is based off of a cultivar grown by Washington state based Cascadia Gardens.

This new turn on an old classic is a pretty even hybrid that crosses Blue Dream (Blueberry x Haze) and Master Kush. This is an easy strain to grow, it’ll flower in eight to nine weeks. Snoop’s Dream plants prefer a temperate, Mediterranean climate when grown outdoors. Outdoor plants will flower mid-October and grow to about medium height. These plants will harvest about 11 ounces per plant, indoor grows will get about 13 ounces per square meter.

At the very first glance notice that Snoop’s Dream takes on most of the aesthetic qualities of Blue Dream. Buds will be a light green and covered in a complete blanket of trichomes and bright orange pistils. The aroma delves into a bright citrus before taking on airs of a blueberry that rides the line between fruity and woody. When inhaled, the flavors remain true to form, lemon soaked berries with a hint of cedarwood.

The public lab testing results from Analytical 360 on Snoop’s Dream date back to April 2013. These results show a total of 13.89% total-THC, but surely in the last four years of perfecting cultivation and lab testing methods, THC levels are higher. This batch of Snoop’s Dream also tested with 0.32% total-CBG, this is the bit to take note of. One reason that the effects of this strain are so unique are because it has a natural amount of CBG, a cannabinoid that has been shown to have antidepressant qualities.
