Pineapple Kush is a cross between Pineapple and Master Kush, and although the breeder of this strain is not known, the strains popularity can certainly speak for itself. This strain is popular amongst novice smokers, due to its light mellow taste and combines the best of the Pineapple and Master Kush strains to create a refreshing hybrid. Pineapple Kush is unfortunately hard to come by, and it is difficult to come across seeds of the original strain. The flowering time indoors is between 8-9 weeks while the flowering time outdoors is in late September or early October. One of the benefits of growing Pineapple Kush is that it is extremely resistant to common moulds and mildew and is fairly easy to grow, simply requiring an appropriate temperature and room to grow. When grown outdoors you can expect about 20 ounces of weed per plant, while indoors it will average around 18 ounces.
FLAVORS
As the name suggests, the aroma and taste of Pineapple Kush is sweet and tropical with a characteristic Kush smell. The tropical aroma carries hints of a delicious caramel flavour which makes this strain particularly appealing to anyone with a sweet tooth! While the buds do resemble the shape of a pineapple, it is its parent strain Pineapple that has real similarities with the tropical fruit.

One study by Analytical 360 found one strain of Pineapple Kush to come in at 17.76% THCa. The test also found the strain to contain 0.10% CBDa with a terpene content of 0.38% (0.11 % Caryophyllene and 0.27 % Humulene coming through in the taste and aroma).
