Khalifa Kush is the brainchild of rapper, Whiz Khalifa, and also goes by its acronym – KK. Rapper and entrepreneur, Khalifa, is not the first to move from the music business into the cannabis industry with Snoop Dogg, Melissa Etheridge and LA rapper – The Game (just to name a few) using their name and platform to promote their product. Following the legalization of cannabis in California, rappers such as Khalifa have capitalised on this move, and opened dispensaries, created new strains, and are even building educational mobile apps. Khalifa Kush, came as a result of a partnership between Reef Dispensaries and Khalifa’s cannabis brand, Young, Wild & Free.

This plant produces a lot of bud, which requires a lot of pruning to get it to its optimal growth. If grown indoors this plant will provide a yield of 17 ounces per meter square, while outdoors Khalifa Kush will yield around 13 ounces per plant.

The aroma and taste of Khalifa Kush is evocative of OG Kush, and although it was supposedly bred to have more lemony notes rather than Kush, it is a mixture of both, tasting sweet and woody at the same time. The buds of this plant are green with orange trichomes that are full of resin.

Khalifa Kush is an Indica Dominant hybrid (80/20) that regularly comes in at 25% THC and in some cases reaches an impressive 29%. The CBD level of KK is about 2 %, which is probably a result of its OG Kush ancestry. This is undoubtedly a top shelf product, and it is claimed that only Whiz Khalifa himself has the original strain which he keeps for himself!
