General info
Ghost Train Haze #1 is a very strong Sativa from Rare Dankness Seeds, that, as well as being the 2014 High Times Cannabis Cup US Sativa Winner, won first prize at High Times Strongest Strains On Earth. With that in mind, if you are a high-tolerance smoker, this might be just the strain you are looking for. If you are a novice smoker, however, be warned!
Grow info
Although this strain can be grown both indoors and outdoors, the ideal climate for Ghost Train Haze is a hot and dry Mediterranean climate. If grown indoors, the flowering time is around 9-11 weeks, and the plant will produce 10oz/m2. However, if grown outdoors, this will increase to 14oz/ plant and will flower in late October. The high yield and long shelf life of this strain, combined with its potency, makes it good for intermediate growers.
FLAVORS
Ghost Train Haze’s buds are super dense for a Sativa, with a generous amount of trichomes and hairs. It has to be said, visually it isn’t the most attractive strain, perhaps as a result of its Sativa ancestor- Nevil’s Wreck. The aroma and taste are exceptional. This strain has an aroma that is a sweet mixture of citrus and pine, with a menthol overtone that is incredibly pungent and can quite easily fill a room with dank goodness. When smoking or vaping, the citrus smell will transfer to your taste and linger there for quite some time.

STRAIN TEST
One study by Analytical 360 found one strain of Ghost Train Haze to come in at 30.40 % THCa. However, it must be noted that under the right conditions. The test also found the strain to contain 0.20% CBD in total with a terpene content of 0.65% (0.55 % Terpinolene and 0.10 % Humulene coming through in the taste and aroma).
Analytical 360 had the next results:
EFFECTS
With a crazy THC potential of up to 27%, and an 80/20 Sativa/Indica ratio, Ghost Train Haze can produce a heavy psychedelic trip. If you need to get work done, or simply need a pick-me-up, small doses are recommended, as too much can take you from having an uplifted, focused mind-set to drifting into a deep body and head high, bordering on the psychedelic.
As might be expected with such an intense strain, medicinal users of Ghost Train Haze tend to use it for its knock-out effects, which can act as a great pain reliever. With more serious illnesses, such as cancer, a strong Sativa such as Ghost Train Haze can help alleviate pain or increase appetite and is often used as a palliative medication. In light doses, Ghost Train Haze can increase the focus of those who suffer from ADD or ADHD.
This is not recommended for people who suffer from anxiety or paranoia as some individuals claim that this strain can lead you to overthink or get lost in your thoughts. If you are not used to a strong Sativa, then the chances of negative effects may increase.
