Also known as “Cotton Candy Kush”, this pretty strain wavers between an Indica and hybrid depending on where and how it was produced. It’s a very aesthetically pleasing strain with pink hues running through the sweet buds due to it’s Lavender lineage. The famed Power Plant is also present in the lineage although it’s not much of an energy producer like one might suspect. The ever-growing concentrate crowd will be excited as these buds can get very sticky and resinous. Dab away!
Indoor growers can expect to see this strain flowering in a very reasonable 8-9 week period however, you will need to keep the plants well trimmed to counter its ambitious growth. Indoor yields can rake in up to 16 ounces per square meter (453g) whilst outdoor grows (flowering in October) can provide farmers with up to 35 ounces per plant (992g). For growing outdoors you will need to choose a warm, sunny environment and aside from local pests, this strain is pretty tough when it comes to fighting mold and disease.
Cotton Candy can bring much-needed relief to patients suffering from chronic pain which makes it a prescription favorite. It also has anti-inflammatory effects which combined with the pain relief, make an attractive choice for athletes (who aren’t drug tested of course). In addition to these benefits, it’s also been known to help with mood disorders and insomnia. Quite the cocktail!
Dry mouth is commonly reported as a side effect and if you have a low tolerance or are predisposed to anxiety, you might find yourself getting a little bit paranoid if you take too much. Pace yourself, know your limits and you should be fine. As always, if in doubt, give your dispensary or doctor a shout!
