General info

Now, this is a strain with a great name. There’s no denying that. This rather bold Sativa is also known as Matanuska Thunder Fuck, Matanuska Tundra or ATF. It seems to have originated from the Matanuska valley in Alaska from un-named parents however there is speculation that the strain has Sativa, Ruderalis and Afghani parents in it’s DNA. It’s known for being quite the mood lifter and it’s euphoric and energetic effects are certainly able to take parties up a notch!

Grow info

To grow this successfully outdoors you will want to choose a location with lots of sunlight with a touch of humidity. Make sure it’s not too hot too as this strain prefers a slightly chillier temperature. The flowering period takes roughly 9-10 weeks and overall the strain produces a pretty good yield. Indoor growers can expect 16 ounces per m2 (453g) and outdoor grows can see up to 32 ounces per plant (907g) under the right conditions. Make sure to add nutrients to optimise the health of these plants.

FLAVORS

Again another show off. Alaskan Thunderfuck tends to come in chunky, dense nugs with a generous frosting of trichomes. The buds themselves are light green but note, the condition and age of the bud can change color significantly so don’t worry if it doesn’t look exactly the same as your google image search bud. Smell wise it’s quite an aggressive scent with skunky woody undertones. Its taste is often described as sweet yet harsh. The abundance of smell is a dead giveaway if you burn this in public so make sure you are in a safe environment before toking up!

Prepare to get inspired and active as this is no couch potato journey. You might want to dash out into the outdoors or play music and if so, embrace it.

This strain has numerous medical uses with the most notable being stress and depression for which it provides significant relief. Its feel-good buzz can help provide perspective and relaxation with the added benefit of some nice pain relief.

Like most Sativas, this strain can leave some users feeling a bit paranoid and anxious if consumed in large quantities. Take it easy on this one as it can be a bit of a creeper strain too. Take a puff or two and see how you feel for a while. Enjoy it and aside from dry mouth and some potentially serious munchies, you should be good to go!
