Despite hiring a blunt roller who claims to consume 150 joints a day, Snoop Dogg claims that after becoming a grandfather, he curtailed his cannabis use and reevaluated his lifestyle because he wanted to see his grandchildren age.
The seasoned rapper’s open admiration for weed has spread to a number of commercial endeavors, including glass, chocolate, and his own weed. He is also one of the co-owners of a digital media company devoted to cannabis-related news (MerryJane).
Although Snoop, 51, the first well-known celebrity to promote his own line of cannabis products, claims his personal use was scrutinized when his oldest child Cordé became a father to son Zion in 2015, he continues to maintain that nothing has changed.
Being a grandfather has changed me in multiple ways,’ he told MailOnline. ‘The main way is being concerned with how I live, how I move, the kind of people I’m associated with because I want to see my grandkids grow old.
‘The only way I can do that is to take precautionary steps as far as how I move, who I hang out with, where I go out, my intake, what am I intaking?
‘Am I doing extra-curricular or am I just doing what I’m supposed to be doing?’
The rapper is said to smoke up to 150 joints a day, according to his full-time blunt roller Renegade Piranha, who earns more than $ 50,000 a year to roll them.
Speaking in October, Piranha told Australia’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show that her boss likes to smoke about half a pound of marijuana each day, the equivalent of 75 to 150 joints.
‘I calculate it at over 450,000,’ Piranha said during the interview on the number of blunts she’s rolled for the rap artist.
Snoop is no stranger to weed and revealed in a 2013 Twitter Q&A that he smokes up to 81 blunts per day, consistent with Piranha’s estimate.
