Information
In today’s blog we’re going to show you exactly what you’ll need and how to do it step-by-step. The best way to learn is by doing, right?
As a warning, there are plenty of recipes online that boast about being the best cookie recipe for edibles out there but the simple truth is this:
You need to use cannabutter, and always decarb your weed first.
I think it’s about ‘high’ time you made weed cookies!
Oldschool Weed Cookies
As I mentioned before, cannabutter is the not-so-secret ingredient in today’s recipe, and we’re kicking it old school with the comfort of chocolate chip cookies – everyone’s fav!
The potency of today’s recipe will be approximately 40 mg of weed per cookie, but it’s always important to understand dosing and proper dosage which you can read more on here.
Do I Really Need To Decarb?
The more you start to learn about the hundreds of different compounds in weed, the more complex the cannabis plant becomes.
But yes, you absolutely have to decarb weed to activate the THC so you can enjoy your high.
Each of the individual cannabinoids, like THC and CBD, is unique. When they enter your body they trigger different experiences, like the sensation of being stoned.
The medical benefits are only possible because of a process called decarboxylation, also called decarbing.
To decarb weed is to heat it up to a specific temperature, for a set period of time.
Heat over time transforms cannabinoids into the compounds we know and love, like THC.
Without heat, you will not get stoned. Eating raw weed, although it does have some benefits, pales in comparison to the experience of decarbed cannabis.
