The Importance of Decarboxylation

Decarbing your cannabis flower is a crucial step when making edibles and it’s a step you just can’t skip. Without decarbing, you won’t experience the same kind of high or buzz. In fact, if you don’t decarb – you won’t feel a thing.

So when you heat up the flower in the process called decarboxylation, you’re essentially a Scientist, allowing the THC to activate.

Tips For Making Canna Syrup

This cannabis syrup recipe calls for flower, but if you’d like to or you have some lying around you can use Shake or Trim.

Shake – small pieces of cannabis flower broken off from the bud

Trim – leaves cut off the plant during trimming

Depending on which kind you use, the potency and high may differ slightly but the effects will generally be the same.

However, you’ll still need to decarb first – do not skip this step!
