Cannabis BLT Sandwich Information

Yummy yummy! Today we are making the easy and super yummy Cannabis BLT!

Some would argue that the best part is the bacon, while others would say the toasted part of this world-renown sandwich. But, stoners everywhere know that the best ingredient to make this a hit is the cannabis butter all the way!

What Ingredients Do I Need for Cannabis BLT?

So for those of you who may not know (and don’t feel bad), BLT stands for bacon, lettuce and tomato.

There are so many variations and additions to this classic sandwich – but today we’re going old-school traditional with a side of weed.

Here’s what you will need:

  • your favourite kind of bread – marble rye is really nice
  • cannabis butter – recipe above – this is how we’ll transform it into an edible
  • fresh Roma tomatoes – they have the best flavour in my opinion
  • Boston or iceberg lettuce – a perfect little crunch and freshness
  • bacon – you can choose any kind of bacon you like, from turkey bacon to maple-infused bacon – all of them are great options
  • salt & pepper
  • mayonnaise (optional, but I wouldn’t skip this one)

Where Did The BLT Originate?

Wikipedia says that the BLT became popular after World War II because of the rapid expansion of supermarkets, which allowed ingredients to be available year-round.

I like to think that someone incredibly smart decided that the best flavours together on a tasty sandwich were bacon, lettuce and tomato.

Which, by the way, also goes great in a wrap or panini if you’re in a pinch, have the craving, but don’t have any rye or bread on hand.
