Coffeeshop Amsterdam was once known as Dampkring. The shop is situated on the corner of Haarlemmerstraat and Binnen Wieringerstraat just a 5-minute walk from Amsterdam’s central station.

Its super central location makes Coffeeshop Amsterdam easily accessible by public transport, even if you’re not staying in the center yourself.

Once you made your way past the shop’s bouncer, you’ll find yourself in front of a big counter where two budtenders are waiting to help you choose the right bud.

You can check out the strains on offer on monitors that are built right in the counter. A scale indicator next to the screen shows the weight and price of the bud, so you know exactly how much they put in your bag.

On the wall behind the counter cannabis seeds and merchandise from Amsterdam Genetics are put on display. From time to time, Amsterdam Coffeeshop also has Amsterdam Genetics buds for sale.

The shop’s menu is a healthy mix of popular classic strains, Amsterdam Genetics strains, and up-and-coming new cannabis varieties.

The shop’s huge strain list is sorted by price and specifies where the strain is a Sativa, Indica, or hybrid. In an unusual twist, the strain menu also lists the flowering time of all strains, pointing out that strains with a longer flowering time are more expensive than short-flowering strains.

The strains below a small selection of those that were available on January 16, 2019:

C5 Pioneer
G13
Super Silver Haze
Trainwreck
Blue Headband
Amnesia
AK020

Coffeeshop Amsterdam has a small selection of pre-rolled joints that are mostly mixed with tobacco. For the purists, there are options listed: Tangie Kush and Super Silver Haze.

They also have a small selection of block hashes that are typically made with new genetics but grown in Morocco.

You will find names like Kosher Choco Kush and Chocolony here. They also have some traditional hashes, isolators, and cakes.

To find more about their latest menu have a look at Amsterdam genetics website here.

Coffeeshop Amsterdam got three floors that are all very trendy decorated. The Coffeeshop Amsterdam is able to seat over 80 people.

It’s possible that some floors are closed when it is not too busy. Apart from the usual A brand drinks there is fresh orange juice, smoothies, and fresh fruit milkshakes. A Dutch water is served and the coffee is great.

If you’re hungry or feel like munching a snack, there are Tosti’s of different kinds, but that’s about it and the usual chocolate bars.

A pleasant surprise is that your drinks are ordered and brought at the table. Something that you don’t see that often in a coffeeshop.

The warm colored lights, wooden accents, and brass tables create a lovely atmosphere.

You will get your drinks quickly and the ladies are polite and keep the tables clean and tight. The music played at the time is dance and electronic music.Photo by: Coffeeshop Amsterdam

A great place that delivers a little more luxury than your average Amsterdam coffeeshop.  Plus, the service is excellent and the products are good as well.

Definitely worth a visit on your adventures throughout Amsterdam.
